Belle Isle Will Get Fifty New Canoes
An early spring note was struck Tuesday when the Common Council approved the purchase of 50 canoes for Belle Isle at an estimated cost of $3,700. Henry W. Busch, commissioner of parks and boulevards, said the canoes would be the first purchased since 1922.
